Does any one know what is going on at DFAT?
There seems to be a big protest happening.

They’re a flaming liability!
Another waste of time action that will achieve nothing. Sure, they got on the news, but does anyone care?

Yeah.. refer to them as curries.. that ought to ease the ‘threat’

I am annoyed with reports of DFAT giving in (http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,25349655-5001028,00.html).
I would love to know what these protestors think they will achieve out of this protest? The Australian Government doesn’t really have any power to tell Sri Lanka what to do.
This overseas battle is just like the battle between the IRA & Britain, Tibet & China, etc. It will most likely go on for years. The best way they can help is go back to Sri Lanka & fight on the team they support.
There was also a big protest next to the Lodge This afternoon, I think for the same reason. Interestingly, the protesters had been allowed to park their buses along Adelaide Avenue so that they almost covered that entrance to The Lodge.
