A 15-year-old boy will face court today (Saturday, October 1), following a number of burglaries in Canberra’s south.
Police will allege the teenager committed three burglaries on 22 September, 25 September and 27 September in Griffith and Forrest.
The property stolen includes three laptops, cameras, a computer game console, alcohol and a convertible BMW valued at $50,000, which has since been recovered.
ACT Policing’s Crime Targeting Team and General Duties members executed a search warrant at a unit in Canberra’s south yesterday (Friday, September 30), where they located some of the stolen property and the alleged offender.
The teenager was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House, where he was charged with three counts of burglary, three counts of theft and driving a stolen motor vehicle.
He will face the ACT Children’s Court this morning, where bail will be opposed by police.
