ACT Policing has arrested and charged a 30-year-old Queensland man in relation to a collision into the front gates at the US Embassy in Yarralumla yesterday (Wednesday, July 10).
About 5.55pm ACT Policing attended the location to find the car lodged in the gates of the embassy. The man was uninjured.
As a precaution the ACT Policing Bomb Response Team attended and did a check of the vehicle. Nothing of a suspicious nature was located.
The 30-year-old man has been charged with damage premises of internationally protected person and will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning.
