Oktoberfest this weekend

The Germans are fucked at playing war, but by Christ can they make good beer! Mmmmmmmmm Hefeweissen!

Not so, according to a mate of mine who was part of the committee that runs it – they quite literally forgot to book the venue and this was the only weekend they could get.

It coincides with the Munich’s Oktoberfest, which starts this Saturday and finishes on the first weekend in October. It used to start in mid-October, but they moved it a month earlier to capitalise on the better beer-drinking weather.
