I’m not sure our dog could make 5km!

They have a 5km version that starts in Deakin which is intended to be dog, pram and walking friendly

which I think is a great idea as my poor old knees and ankles (not to mention the poor old dog) cannot take running 10km on pavement anymore

That said, I notice there is a dog in the first photo – but I’m guessing it’s just an observer.

Are you allowed to take a dog?
I’ve not seen one on the 10km run and nor would I want to. They would be downright dangerous in terms of tripping over runners, getting scared etc.

yeah, I thinking abt participating with the dog next year too. It looks fun.

was good fun afterwards with champagne and nibbles by the lake (myself and the dog were support and morale crew not participants)

but next year I’ll get the knees, ankles and dog trained up for the 5km version
