Anyone know where i can get a good pie?

Kuma pies on the main street in Cooma are really nice.

The Mexican pies from Dobinson’s in the city are pretty good, although it’s been a while since I have had one.

I have pies from Elaine’s (Fyshwick) and the Flute semi-regularly and they’re usually quite reliabe. The Steak & Onion at Elaine’s is usually very good. Nothing fancy, just good honest tucker.

I like pie. Do you like pie?

+1 for Kingston Bakery. Great for a hangover if Kismet at Manuka is closed for a kebab.

#14 – The place at Cooleman Court is called Sakeenas. Great pies, coffee and service!

For a plain meat pie, the hot bake just outside Supabarn in Civic does a great one.

Definitely not Bakers’ Delight, blerk! One day while under the weather recently I thought an average pie would do, but this one was beyond sub-standard.

Who has Villi’s pasties these days? That’s what I want to know?

The packaged pies at EPIC farmers market are fantastic.

Expensive, but they are real pies – all chunks of meat, no mince in sight.

That’s the Sundance Bakery, good tucker for sure, and really chunky meat pies. I often wandered up there for breakfast. There’s a little offshoot (or there was) in Packer’s Palace at Perisher front valley. Good cheap lunch, grab a sausaage roll.

and on a pie-related sad note, i came through berrima a couple months back to find to my horror that the pie shop there had closed. vale the berrima pie.

The bakery at Nuggets Crossing in Jindabyne. It’s well worth the trip.

A place I worked at recently seemed to have a black market running in boxes of pies from some bakery at Murrumbateman. No one since seems to have heard of it though.

I’d love to find on eof those pies we used to get years ago, those square ones, a bit soft, with that jelly-meat filling with bits of black pepper all through it.

Small supply, but those Portuguese sure can cook pies! And you can get fab religieuse while you’re there!

There is a great place in Cooleman Court in Weston. Its just opposite the newsagents. Home made, traditional pie.

I don’t know about recently but Cornucopia on Mort Street Braddon used to do some killer pies and pastries

My sister in law has this nifty gadget that is pastry cutter/pie cooker all in one … we had a pie there last week and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to whip up a home-made version, and the pie was just perfect! I am sooo getting one of these gadgets for my birthday this year!

Re Michels, I’ve been to their factory, I’ve worked on their equipment, I’ve scrubbed myself down afterwords but the dirt and smell just doesn’t seem to come off.

I love their Lamb Moussaka pies. Sadly they make them at irregular intervals. On the plus side, that makes them serendipitous as well as tasty 🙂
