Canberra's own two Geeks in "Beauty and the Geek"

I’m putting $20 on the show lasting no more than 3 weeks in it’s timeslot before getting axed or moved to 11pm or later. What made them think that creating an Australian version of a load of garbage american show that screens at some hour very late at night was a good idea? Scraping the bottom of the barrel..

I am aware that Jeremy Reading is from Canberra – but I thought he was the only one! Jeremy is the red-headed, not so ‘nerdy’ looking Geek. I believe his partner – aka ‘Miss Congeniality’ – won the teaching challenge during last nights episode.

Weirdly enough I apparently went to the same Primary School as him – what an awesome claim to fame!!!

Hmmm, I’m not sure who this “Jeremy Reading” is, but I did see on sunrise a few months ago on a sneak peek of the show (like when they started filming), that the geek who plays with those baloons is from Canberra… I think. (I’m not sure if that’s ment to be Jeremy or not)

I suggest that Big Bang Theory does not contain good geeks, the little of the show that I could bare watching seemed more like Hollywood’s idea of a geek.

It sounds like you don’t know many PostGrad students. Quite a few of the traits shown by the characters in The Big Bang Theory uncannily match those of several friends and acquaintances.

WHat kills the show is that the geeks are off the street, but of course all the girls are bottom-rung “models” (think Gold Coast Crystie from Big Brother)and have been hired commercially. Shame on Castle Hill School for exposing primary school children to this culture, by the way.
