Hey RiotACT – Does anyone know where the Burmese family went that used to serve food at the Turner Bowls Club?
I’m desperate for one of their curries and I’d love to know if they opened up a place somewhere else!

There are only two Burmese restaurants that I know of both in the City:
Burmese Curry Place just behind the buses and Golden Myanmar Cafe down near the Casino.
Both are good home cooking, but I must say I have difficulty distinguishing it from Indian food. I’ve had the same problem at Nepalese and Sri Lankan restaurants. They all seem to do all the same dishes. Except the Golden Myanmar has noodles in some dishes.
Thank you! I will try to find the place in the City and see if it is them.
For a second there I had a vision of that yellow double decker bus that sat off Mort street, just near Cooyong. Few ventured there, fewer returned.
There is a Burmese takeaway in the City interchange which i think is the same family.
