
Two people have died in a collision between a 4WD and a semi-trailer at Berridale near Jindabyne.
The accident happened before 9am this morning but NSW police have urged motorists to avoid the area throughout the day.
The driver and a passenger in the 4WD died at the scene. The driver of the semi-trailer was airlifted to Canberra Hospital and a passenger taken to Cooma Hospital by road.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
They have urged anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the online reporting page, nsw.crimestoppers.com.au, but not to report crime information via Facebook or Twitter.
