Ad about Canberra

Hi everyone, I’m a first timer to RiotAct – my friend sent me this link as I was part of the team to actually create the “Things have Changed” ad. I have now uploaded it to YouTube;

A local woman by the name of Wendy Breakwell wanted to appeal to the 18-25 year old market with this ad, making Canberra look more urban and grungy. The ad was created by Neon Productions and Cre8ive. We worked on it over the course of a year while Wendy was trying to get the campaign noticed. She has put it up on Go! and wants it to eventually become a nation wide campaign for Canberra. The version on YouTube is a previous one with the shots of “brodburger van”and the “number plate”, as these were only added recently by an outside source.

I live in Wollongong I have seen the ad on TV lately> Great ad for our capital city which is usually portrayed as so antiseptic!

The ad was discussed in the above thread in December..

Ive seen it and I think its great, really draws you in.

I think It was shot quite a while ago, maybe 12 months, by a local lady who then showed it to a few businesses around town trying to drum up commercial support. I used to have her card around, but I’m sure if you wanted to follow up the station could put you in touch.

I saw it the other day, yes I think it was on Go. Was that a dingo joke t shirt at the end?

It’s better than the Young ad they’ve endlessly been showing on Southern Cross for months now! It’s the worst jingle that gets stuck in your head… ‘Feel Young… visit Yah-huh-hung’ ARGHH!!! Shut up! I refuse to go to Young!!

I loved the irony of having shots of Brodburger in the ad, and then the slogan “Things have changed”. Oh, and the parkour kiddies playing around in the Toast courtyard.

Things have definitely changed… for the better or worse, I’m still undecided.

Yeah I have seen it a couple of times. I think its a good ad.

I say the tail end of it the other night, didn’t dawn on me straight away that it was an add about Canberra. What I saw looked good but will have to see it again before commenting further
