Blamemonkey’s not far off the mark (comment 1). Steven’s assistant ‘Pig’ Higgins p***ed him off by bringing back the wrong takeaway just as the presses finally started to roll – late as usual. Stevens was last heard screaming “What’s this friggin’ figgin doin’ here Higgins – I asked for finger-liggen chiggen!”.
Then he flounced out – for ever.
Well, they have to get the editions to the drain droppers gnarly youth.
and the trucking capacity to move them to the drain I suppose.
on the other hand the freebie copies in hairdressers and take-aways do get read by a lot of bored people.
The only limiting factor being the capacity of Canberra’s stormwater drains.
Not rubbery at all Ari.
They just call up the printer and ask how many they printed.
5 years is quite long enough for anyone in that sort of position. Even if circulation figures had gone up, and not down…
I second the Bull Shit call, More likely Jump before you get pushed..
I just rang the CT editorial department (that’s on 6280 2211 for anyone interested) and was told by the editorial assistant that Mr STevens is resigning “for personal reasons”.
“He’s been with the company for quite some time,” she said, “and he and his wife have decided to pursue other endeavours.”
I call bullshit.
ARRRGHHH!!! I have been Censored!!! Unfortunately i do not know why Mr stevens has resigned, Possibly due to better job offer, maybe the staff didn’t like him who knows…. Can you reinstate my previous comment now JB, I think all this free time and power has gone to your head, Maybe that is why he resigned, in fear that he would get fired….
