Does anyone know of any clubs or pubs showing the Socceroos matches live?
Unfortunately two of their group matches are at 4:30am and I think this falls outside liquor licensing hours, maybe someone can confirm.
Thanks in advance,
Sanjo

The benefit of being in Europe at the moment. I’ll be watching the Australia v Germany game at the German Ambassador’s Residence and the Australia v Serbia game with the Australian Embassy.

Southern Cross Clubs get a great crowd.
Except from the Liquor Licence ACT.
4. What are the maximum trading hours?
Where liquor may be consumed on the premises (i.e. ON, General, Club and some Special licences) – cannot trade in liquor between 4am and 7am daily. If licensee notifies the Registrar, this period can be moved back so they cannot trade in liquor between 5am and 8am daily.
Not sure why you would want to wake up and drink anyway.
All World Cup games are shown live on SBS so if you’re stuck you can always just watch it in the comfort of your own living room. 🙂
I understand that the Refectory at the University of Canberra will be open 24/7 and showing all of the World Cup games live. I believe the bar will be open the whole time too, but I’d check with them.
I would think that any venue that chose to open, and attracted a decent crowd, could make a bit of money selling breakfast and coffee.
