I got some recent pics of Canberra i took with my digital camera. How do I get them on the Board ?
It is the top of Melba/Fraser/Spence/Flynn indeed. Pick the right side street and the hike to the top is short. There are numerous good solid rocks to park ones tripod on without too many trees obstructing the view.
The sight up there at 7:30 in the morning, with fog clinging to the base line of the surrounding mountains and the light hitting it at an obtuse angle, is magic.
My brother will be visiting with his Powershot G5 in a month, I’ll get a better quality capture of the above shot, along with a bunch of others.
Mt Rogers is in the NW corner of Belconnen – in the Fraser/Spence/Flynn area. You can find it on Map 27 on the UBD in the yellow pages.
