The following’s come across my desk:

1. As part of the ceremony for the Opening of Parliament, Australia’s Federation Guard will conduct an artillery gun salute from Parliament House between 3:10pm and 3:40pm, on Tuesday 28 September 2010.

2. During this activity, six artillery guns will fire 19 rounds at 5 second intervals using blank cartridges. These cartridges do not contain any projectiles, however they do contain gunpowder. Loud noises will be heard during this time.

So, as usual, don’t panic.
