Adding to the long list of basic things this Government can’t do right, the ABC reports that the payment summaries to ACT Public Servants have been banjoed.

Hm, I’d guess that now that you’ve been informed that the first payment summary is inaccurate, its status as a legal document is null and void. I’d think you’d be deliberately decieving the tax office if you used it, and I’m pretty sure the tax office doesn’t really like that.
You could have used the old documents if you’d filed your tax return prior to getting the new documents, since that would be a legitimate mistake and not your fault. But now that you’ve been advised that the old documents are inaccurate, there’s a definate risk in continuing to use them.
I recieved my revised group certificate from TCH the other day with a note that states ” There was a printing error..resulted in the omission of reportable fringe benefits amounts…the payment summary with omitted RFBA must be destroyed and cannot be lodged with your tax return.”
Does anyone have any advice?
The cool thing is that those are legal documents.
Use which ever one advantages you the most.
