ABC radio has been reporting that the ALP has voted as a bloc in the Assembly to ensure no delays or effective inquiries into the future of schooling in the ACT.
Gotta love unicameral majority government.

yeah but who else will there be – do you think save our schools will run any candidates?
CM has gone from hero (‘copter rescue) to zero. When some of the MLAs took a differing view at the conference I thought, FINALLY they are listening. But it’s reverted to a Pythonesque ‘Yes – we are all individuals’ mentality.

In terms of school closures, through their actions at the ALP Conference, Ministers Corbell and Gallagher put their faction ahead of their agreed Cabinet position. However, in the Assembly they reversed their stand and put their career ahead of their conference position. Let’s hope they get what they deserve at the next election.
