Maybe I need reading comprehension, but I failed to see ‘drivers side door’ anywhere. If the patrol car had been hit “at high speed with significant force” by a Munaro on the drivers door, those in the car would be dead.

Forgive me for not watching more ‘local’ TV or reading the crimes to stay up-to-date on local police matters.

Wow I could never be a cop, I would have got out of the car (provided I could walk obviously) and shot him in the head at point blank range, several times. Kind of like the security guard a few years back after being clubbed over the head.
