I-filed, the waving thingies as you call it are probably some of ACT Government’s better investments. The sculptor is a New Zealander by the name of Phil Price. His kinetic works are very highly regarded. Personally, I love them and even when looking at buying in Hughes counted being close to the Angel wings as a bonus, but it’s all a matter of taste.

Naturally, supporting more local sculptors should also be an aim of our wonderful public art program.

I’d like to know the resale value of some of the atrocities installed around Canberra.

Is the ACT Government valuing these artworks and how is it evaluating ROI? Public feedback? Social good? Ainslie cod: yes. Waving thinggies: unlikely.

Charny Shops is actually part of a conceptual art installation entitled ‘urban despair’.

They are already there, a tasteful little piece called “carelessly disposed of contaminated hypodermic needles”.

That is a good fish. It looks like a fish, it’s interesting and looks skillfully done. I wonder how long it will last?

Finally, some public art I DO like! Let’s keep this one, and get a refund on the stuff that looks like Revolve’s leftovers.
