Like so many other areas of Queensland, the RSPCA Qld Shelter located in the Western suburbs of Brisbane) was severely damaged by the recent floods causing it to cease operations whilst recovery continues.
The RSPCA is exempt from disaster relief funds offered to other charities that assist human needs. This makes the RSPCA entirely reliant on the generosity of the Australian (and International!) community to help them get back to being fully operational so they can open their doors and continue to help the 42,000 animals who rely on them each year.
