The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) is preparing to send another two taskforces to North Queensland to assist in the clean up following Tropical Cyclone Yasi after a request from QLD authorities.
Taskforce Five will depart the Canberra Airport for Cairns on Sunday 20 February, 2011 at 7am for a four day deployment, with the 21 members returning on 24 February, 2011 at 5pm.
Arrangements for Taskforce six are still to be finalised, however the team is preparing to leave Canberra on Wednesday 23 February, 2011 returning on Sunday 27 February, 2011.
