ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the robbery and assault of two pedestrians on McBryde Crescent in Wanniassa last night (Monday, 14 March).
Around 10.10pm two men, walking along McBryde Crescent, were approached by a vehicle, described as a late model silver Mazda 6 vehicle or similar with spoiler. The vehicle had ACT registration plates.
A male got out of the rear of the vehicle and asked to use the men’s mobile phones. One produced a mobile phone and the offender asked the other man to empty his pockets. The male offender took property from both men and then struck one of the men rendering him unconscious.
The driver of the vehicle was described as a female wearing an aqua top and there were approximately six people in the vehicle.
Anyone who was in the Wanniassa area and may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
