And the F111 was a great bonus
The F-111 looked awesome from Chisholm, and the dump-and-burn seemed to last for an eternity.
Some bogans a couple of doors down — who were clearly pissed — were heard to scream during the F-111 pyrotechnics:
“Oh my god, its the comet, ITS THE COMET!!!”
Cheers all 🙂
I certainly enjoyed them more than sitting under the Opera house in the cold for 7 hours on NYE for the Sydney fireworks…
I had the shot lined up for the F1-11 but it flew in higher than I expected and so I just got the crowd going ooooh and a bit of the firetrail. Bummed!
Although the fireworks on the Carillon were off in the timing, the show was great and the kids loved it. Much better than NYE in the city.
And the F111 was a great bonus, although the time taken to take a photo meant I basically missed it…
Couple of shots from the pontoon went off at water level – wondered whether they were mis-fires.
Will park much closer next time – no need to walk all the way from Civic. And a wonder the footbridge didn’t collapse under the weight of all the people on it after the show…
Anyway – good show.
Next fireworks is the multicultural festival isn’t it?
I really wish I’d looked at exposure times before I bought my digital – even in manual mode, it’ll only leave the shutter open for a max of 2 seconds.
