ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an attempted abduction which occurred in an alleyway off Anthony Rolfe Avenue in Gungahlin yesterday (Monday April 4).
About 4:50pm an early-model white Holden Commodore sedan followed a teenage girl on Anthony Rolfe Avenue.
Two men got out of the vehicle and one allegedly attempted to drag the girl into the car.
Members of the public intervened and fought off the alleged abductors, allowing the girl to flee the scene and contact police.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
