The remote for my garage door has broken (the back of the cover has come off).
The microchip is fully intact and the front of the cover is okay.
Does anyone know where I can get this fixed?

hey guys
thanks for suggestions
sticky tape not an option as I can’t find where the back is. Quite possibly on the bus. sticky tape would involve sticky taping the mircroship which aint too good
Don’t know about getting it fixed, but I recently got a third party replacement remote from Bunnings for a reasonable price. They had a variety of types there.
You can buy replacements for the popular ones on ebay, they even send the instructions to code. Too easy…
sticky tape. most of the garage remotes at my place have the back taped on. drop your keys once and they don’t survive.
Try ringing around the places that sell garage doors. Last time I had a similar issue I was able to track down a place in Hume where they sold me just the remote shell (without the electronics). I think I got it for about $20 but getting whole remote was something like $80.
There’s a kiosk on the ground floor of Woden Plaza near the bus interchange that does shoe repairs and stuff. They’re able to replace most garage door openers (though sadly not mine).
