ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an indecent assault which occurred on Tuesday night (May 17) in Dickson.
About 11.20pm a 19-year-old woman was walking along Cowper Street when she noticed a man following her. The man continued to follow her along Majura Avenue where he made several attempts to engage her in conversation.
The woman turned onto Stephen Street in Ainslie when the man approached her from behind, placed his hand between her legs and pulled her in close. The woman swung her bag at the man and ran home.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid twenties, about 173cm (5’ 8”) tall, with an athletic build, clean shaven with muscular, shaved legs.
The man was wearing a black T-shirt, light coloured underwear, a black hat and strappy, silver coloured high heels. He spoke with a soft feminine voice.
