I had a porch monkey once, his name was Mr Fibbles. He would wait on the front veranda for me to come from school. Every kids i knew had one in the eighties.

One of the big selling points for porch monkeys was that they were trained to wait for you, but thats all they did. They never came when you called them, they made messes and were prone to flinging poo at you if you annoyed them.

Stanhope government banned them in 2001 as one of their first laws and they are getting pretty rare. So if there is a wild population causing trouble in civic then i think TAMS should be informed.

I understand some/many of the people involved in this altercation may have been of Sudanese descent, so BKW’s statements was probably directed at this element of the community. It’s a stupid statement but I think people can smell a troll a mile away, hence it probably hasn’t gained any traction.

Nope, but I can only assume the moron doesn’t actually know what it means, since we don’t have (m)any of the ethnicity commonly described as “porch monkeys” in the US here in Canberra.

Just another night in party town. Would it help if we just shutdown the Moose completely or would that just move the bogans and trogs to another venue? Maybe there should be a quick trivia quiz before you get in, like general knowledge, basic arithmetic. Just to leave the idiots on the street…

I definitly agree, the police are a special breed. I would not be able to handle half the things that they have to see and deal with on a daily basis.

I’m just dissapointed that it happened outside of the nightclub and not inside. It could have been one of those cowboy movie saloon brawls where they use people to wipe the bottles and glasses of the bar, break chairs over eachothers’ heads and throw drunks through windows.
