ACT Policing are investigating an aggravated robbery at a hairdressing salon last night (Wednesday, June 8).
About 7pm, a man entered the salon on Coranderrk Street in the City. The man approached the front counter while carrying a knife and demanded money from the female store owner. The store owner opened the till and the offender took a sum of money before leaving the store in the direction of Glebe Park.
The offender is described as African in appearance, approximately 168cm (5’6”) tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a tan coloured zip up knitted sweater, grey coloured jeans and black gloves. He had a tan coloured stocking pulled over his head with a black balaclava pulled over the stocking. The offender had a distinctive South African accent.
