The ABN database is far from accurate. You could apply for an ABN as the proprietor of Charlie Black and they’d give you an ABN under that name. It doesn’t prove a thing. Also, they are trading as the company name they registered, which is perfectly okay to do. I’m glad you’re creative, because you certainly have no idea about this topic.

Well he registered for an ABN on Mar 1 2010 and Charlie Black Pty Ltd registered with ASIC on Mar 3 2010. That is quite the coincidence.

Unfortunately ASIC’s online database does not list company owners or directors, despite what you say. You must instead purchase a company extract via the links from ASIC.

It’s interesting that The Canberra Times has removed reference to Charlie Black in its article, though their Facebook still says he’s the owner. Also interesting is Win News tonight did not even say his name, just saying “a businessman”.
If you go back and look at various interviews including a transcript of Stateline from 2006 about worker exploitation he was involved in, it’s curious that he’s referred to constantly as a “restaurant owner” but no story ever says what establishment(s) he owns.

There’s one or two courier depots in that street. There’s also a couple of restaurant suppliers and a brothel. There’s certainly some properties out there available for warehousing and storage but quite large.

Same dude been running venues in Canberra for as long as I can remember? Was involved in other nightclubbie venues and liked sending champagne bottles to visiting models?
