ACT Policing is investigating a suspicious fire that occurred at Westfield Woden this afternoon (Tuesday, July 12).
Around 4.15pm, police were contacted by the ACT Fire Brigade in relation to a small fire inside the Homebase store at Westfield Woden shopping centre.
The shopping centre was temporarily evacuated while the ACT Fire Brigade extinguished the fire, and has since been re-opened.
AFP Forensics is attending the scene and will conduct an examination.
Anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour or activity around the Homebase store in Westfield Woden this afternoon, or may be able to assist police with their investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
