Hanging off the bridge at Murrumbateman

Snowy Hydro SouthCare has sent through this photograph of a rescue underway at Murrumbateman where a car has come off the bridge.

There were two people involved in this accident. The female was transported to The Canberra Hospital by the Snowy Hydro SouthCare rescue helicopter – she had sustained head and internal injuries.

These sort of images always get me thinking – how the heck did they get there?!
Hope they all got out OK and good on the services for doing their best work to get them out alive.

Strewth, that’s a hell of a place to park. Hope the fellow/lass is okay.
Just looking at that picture, it’s good to know that the fine emergency services folk don’t mess about when stuff gets serious (not that I imagined for a second that they would, of course).

Oh! Oh my. That dosn’t look good. That’s the back half of the car still on the bridge right? Poor driver.
