I had Kangaroo at Grazing a few weeks back at a wedding, spectacularly good.

I’ve never seen emu or croc on a menu here either. But I’m pretty sure you can buy at least emu at Fyshwick markets.

There are plenty of places that does roo, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen emus or crocs.

If they are that eager I’d recommend travelling to the Northern Territory and going on one of those Bush Tucker tours that are run by the local indigenous people.

Still a bit doubtful about the chances of dining on a croc though.

Not a resteraunt but I’m pretty sure you can get a roo steak at Magpies Club at Kippax

I did have roo at the restaurarant in Telstra Tower once, but that was 10 years ago. Used to be a fun place to take tourists to. Alto – as it is called – gets very bad reviews pretty consistently now though. And it is very expensive too, so sounds like pretty poor value for money.

Flint restaurant prepares beautifully succulent kangaroo, however you might need to wait a while before they’re operating again.

Yep get the kangaroo fillets from coles which are fantastic, or you can also get the marinated kangaroo steaks which I haven’t tried yet. I BBQ the fillets at least once a week then slice it up in a salad.

Delissio in Braddon has Roo on the menu and , from what I have been told, is very good.

I wanted to find out too now because I love kangaroo (both the hopping and the meat-on-plate kind). But barely anyone seems to serve it anymore! Too controversial?

Doesn’t Poachers Pantry get into this kind of fare?

Having seen and read very recently some pretty yucky things about the kangaroo meat supply chain recently, I’d think twice about – at least in relation to eating the hopping one.
