Well.. it’s not that interesting. I just wanted somewhere to air my disappointment.
Originally it was slated to have 6 bands playing some Jeff Buckley songs and it would go from 8.00 to 11.30.
In actuality 4 of the bands dropped out and it only went from 9 to 10.30.
Each group sang about 6 songs with only 1 of them being a Jeff Buckley one.
The second lady at one point said, ‘This is another cover, but it’s not by Jeff Buckley because I found his music too hard to learn.’
All-in-all I think they employed the use of the bait and switch to attract people to the night.
The people who played were good enough that if the night had been advertised as Acoustic Sessions I would not have been disappointed, but all I could think about when I was there was whether or not the next song would be a Jeff Buckley one.
Well if it’s anything like their “Jeff Buckley Tribute” it is probably going to be pole-dancing classes.
