More than 850 motorcycle riders will descend on Canberra tomorrow (Saturday, September 17) as part of the national Wall to Wall ride for remembrance.
Police Commissioners from Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, Tasmania, New South Wales and Australian Federal Police Commissioner Tony Negus APM are participating to show their support of officers in the ride.
Riders from all States and Territories will converge with ACT Policing members near the NSW/ACT border, before travelling to their final destination at the National Police Memorial, Kings Park, where a ceremony to honour and remember the fallen officers will be held at 3 pm.
ACT Policing will escort the riders to Kings Park, with minor traffic disruptions expected along the route.
National Police Remembrance Day is held on September 29.
The Wall to Wall ride pays tribute to the men and women police officers who have died in the line of duty. Funds raised through the ride go to police legacies.
