It just seems crazy to destroy something of value for no reason, especially when the car can be sold and the proceeds used to benefit the community.

You don’t think seeing a police car and quickly ducking into a car park is sus? Thankfully those police have better instincts than you.

And remember that when we are talking about someone who has 9 DUIs, they are very likely to have a serious alcohol problem. I would expect anyone that knows him well enough to lend him a car, knows him well enough to know what a bad idea that is.

I still can’t imagine how much of the time this person must spend driving drunk to get picked up DUI nine times. I don’t think I’ve been breath tested nine times in my 25 years of driving, and I used to drive cabs and trucks.

I think the title should be corrected to “Shooting DUI number 9”. That’ll learn ’em.

Gotta be worth some sort of trophy if he’s banned from the road for good. Give a little something his friends and family too watching it happen thinking it normal behavior? How can this happen ?

I think the ‘quickly’ part is what was suspicious. Quickly most likely means he was driving wel above what would be seen as a safe speed in a car park.

Also, it doesn’t mater why they breath tested him. Police can breath test any driver any time for any reason.

By crushing them we can put them in prominent areas around Canberra with a sign about drink driving. It would be similar to the huge fluro pink stickers the UK police put on confiscated cars that don’t have insurance.

Technically he isn’t allowed to drive a car on public roads at the moment anyway, sure stopped him.

When his friends/families cars start getting crushed and/or severely fined, they might get annoyed and stop loaning him cars. I’ll put my money on the fact they use the “i didn’t know” excuse and avoid any penalties.
