A 23-year-old Lyneham man was arrested yesterday (Sunday, October 30) after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from two Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) at Westfield Belconnen.
Police will allege the man had posed as a technician on Friday (October 28) to gain access to the ATMs.
The man was arrested yesterday afternoon in Braddon and was taken to the ACT Watch House. He was charged with two counts of theft and two counts of unauthorised access with intent to commit a serious offence.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (Monday, October 31), where bail will be opposed by police.
