Too bad if this person had t-boned an innocent driver reversing out of their drivway in kaleen while doing 120km/hrin that 60 zone!!!

At the end of the day, the person is innocent until they attend court and plead guilty or get found guilty. They get punished when they go to court.

I don’t know, I just thought letting someone do something twice might provide the opportunity for an additional fine. It does give the impression that it’s not about stopping the behaviour anyway.

People who have not yet been found guilty in court sometimes get locked up while waiting, so why should someone who’s registered an excessive blood alcohol reading continue to have access to the car while still drunk? Sorry, you’ll never convince me that these stories about someone being caught twice in one night make sense.

How about people need to take responsibilities for their own actions, this guy was over the limit as set by legislations, but he was not drunk enough to not know what he is doing.

Of course people should take responsibility for their own actions, but since some don’t it would be nice if the system worked so that someone who is stopped from doing wrong doesn’t need to stopped again a short time later. If a drunk driver has no car to drive then he can’t repeat the driving while still drunk.

The thing is that there are people out there who don’t take responsibility for their own actions, thus the need for coppers in the first place.
