“All that “wasted” green space. Next, what about a trendy residential development on that roundabout there? And then there’s that long corridor with red stuff on it, imagine how many apartments with Granite Bench tops you could fit on there! let’s go for it.”
I agree Evan. That large area is only good for Kids to experience nature close to home and for dog owners to play frisby etc. Man you could fit 1000’s of people in there in over priced shipping containers. Pff, nature is a commodities to be sold, maybe if Zed Seselja gets his way the new Land authority will sell the mountain peaks in Canberra and we can have thousands of overpriced 3 beddies (with views) crammed on top.
Ah, but on the same note I realise that Canberra is short on housing! Solution; seize control of Queanbeyan and expand it, hell its already ACT’s slums and it use the extra police powers.
Ok, i’m just being silly now 🙂
It’s all part of the plan to turn Consitution Ave into a living urban corridor from Civic to Russell. Some of the suggested plans actually look like they’ve had some thought put into them. Good to see.

It would probably be better to turn corridor into a dragway! Okay, it’s not flat, so not terribly well suited, but it’s better than the one we’ve got at the moment.
