ACT Policing arrested and charged a 62-year-old Hughes man late last night (November 20) after he was caught driving while disqualified in Narrabundah.
Around 10.30pm police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Falcon utility on Jerrabomberra Avenue in Narrabundah for the purpose of a random breath test.
Police conducted a number of licence checks on the driver which indicated that the man was disqualified from driving until 2070. While the man was in police custody, officers found a quantity of cannabis in his possession.
The man was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House and charged with a number of traffic offences and possession of cannabis. He will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court later this morning.
