ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a suspicious house fire in Gordon which occurred early this morning (Thursday, December 1).
Around 4.40am police were notified by ACT Fire & Rescue of a house in Sherwood Crescent on fire.
ACT Fire & Rescue extinguish the fire, and the house sustained major damage. No one was injured as a result of the fire.
An initial assessment by police and fire investigators deemed the fire as suspicious. AFP Forensic Services will attend the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
Police would urge anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in or around the Sherwood Crescent area early this morning to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information to Crime Stoppers can be provided anonymously.
