ACTEW are getting word out on an information session they’re running to explain their plans for interpretative signage in the parkland at the base of the Cotter Dam known as Cotter Avenue.

ACTEW invites the community to attend an information session about the planned interpretive signage for the Cotter Avenue recreation area.

Tuesday 13 Dec 2011, 6.00pm to 7.30pm, Canberra Southern Cross Club Woden (92-96 Corinna Street Woden ACT 2606)

Since January 2010 Cotter Avenue has been closed to the public due to its proximity to the Enlarged Cotter Dam construction site. ACTEW is planning to upgrade Cotter Avenue recreation area and will re-open the space with improved facilities and new informational signage in 2012.

For more information on the planned precinct there’s a page on the ACTEW site.
