ANU has announced their Professor Brian Schmidt has received the Nobel Prize for Physics in the official Prize Ceremony in Stockholm on Saturday. He shares the prize with Adam Riess and Saul Perlmutter.
“It’s truly an honour I will never forget,” said Professor Schmidt. “I’ve been really nervous about being bestowed with such an honour, it feels like it’s beyond belief.”
During the week, he also gave a lecture on the Accelerating Universe, the discovery which earned him the award.
