ACT Policing is warning that this month’s road safety target is seatbelts.
It certainly makes a nice change from speeding, dui, and mobile phones.
If only we could get a blitz for correct use of indicators.

Do we assume that during this blitz on seatbelts, police officers will just ignore those on their phones?
Only those with below average intelligence would make that assumption.
It’s more a media blitz than an actual police blitz. Raising awareness etc.
I’d prefer a blitz on tailgaters.
Summary execution of offenders and the bodies left on the side of the road.
Is that why dead kangaroos are left on the side of the road?

I don’t understand why they need to have a blitz on anything? Surely if a police officer is oin traffic patrol and they see someone breaking the law, they give them a ticket?

Especially those who tailgate in the wet!
And if they tailgate in the wet after racing up behind you with all their lights off, they get beaten to death with a surplus gumboot.
