Scary Canberra airport IL76 takeoff

Not sure how you can say it almost ended in Madura considering the IL76 was taking off to the South and the takeoff procedure is standard practice for an IL76 on a runway that short.

It seems to me that the runway is exactly the length it needs to be. Good on them for saving a few bucks.

Thats awesome. Still amazes me that those giant hunks of metal fly. Yeah, yeah physics, etc… but, it’s a giant hunk of metal! Flying!
