Just wondering if any ofr the Rioters can identify this caterpillar that was on my railing yesterday morning?
Also around at the moment in my garden are these little sods: http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_ladybirds/28-spotted.html.
The larvae are pretty freaky, but the damage to my cucumbers is just plain annoying.

I have one of them in my fly fishing tackle box. Yours seems better made though.
Apparently it’s a type of Tussock Moth caterpillar due to the four tufts of hair on its back which, as mentioned could have stinging cells.

IIRC it causes a moderate rash by the poison from it’s fine hair…
So don’t let the kinds touch it.
