Stressed Out, because Canberra is so easy to get around in, and the traffic isn’t stressful, most people don’t mind driving to a masseur. There’s a good one at the Ainslie shops, if that’s handy.
Yep, agreed – the CIT students are quite good.
No happy endings though.
;-D
15 mins to work is great mate, but many Canberrans … those who live in the outer areas would literally be flying to get to the city in 15 mins. If you live in one of the “satellite cities” such as Tuggeranong, in the suburb of Banks for example, you can take 3 times as long to get to work during peak hour traffic. That’s 45 minutes one way if not longer.
I suspect you live in or around the Manuka area (Griffith, Kingston, Narrabundah, Red Hill etc), or possibly inner South suburbs of Hughes or Curtin, or maybe Hackett, Downer, Ainslie, North Lyneham or even Kaleen, oooooor, uuuhm, how about Yarralumla? NICE! No need to confirm, just a hunch that you’re in close proximity to the city.
Masseuse? I know the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) offers half hour massages for $15 (students) – and they’re pretty good too! Maybe you could put a few signs up at the CIT campus noticeboards. They’re at Reid (near Civic), Bruce (inner North), or Woden (inner South).
All the best
Cheers
Thanks everyone, and i appreciate the welcome. I love the place and have no idea why people bash the city…..15mins to work – no reason for complaint here!
No luck yet with the masseuse but i’ll keep looking.
Workers in the sex industry give a whole lot of people a whole lot of massages. Therefore they get quite good at it.
As long as you are clear about your intentions, I don’t see a lot of problems in going to somebody of the red light persuasion.
Welcome to Canberra!
I’m sorry I don’t know any names, but I do know they’re around… I’ve heard of friends trying a few out before they found a good, reliable one.
Good luck!
Mobile masseuse in Canberra? Not sure if there are any. You could try advertising in the Canberra Times, but make sure your ad doesn’t make it into the XXX column where sex industry workers are often disguised as masseuses; you may be in for a nasty surprise.
Also, Canberra Times have an under $100 column which appears every Tuesday. It is FREE. You can go to the Canberra Times dog’s breakfast site (just google Canberra Times), and find the online form for FREE CLASSIFIEDS or something like that. Maybe try advertising in the Canberra Chronicle too which is part of the Canberra Times.
All the best to you; hope you enjoy your time in Canberra.
