ACT Fire & Rescue are on scene at a house fire in O’Malley.
Firefighters responded to the property on Cobbadah Street after being alerted at 3:15.
Crews arrived to find the property fully engulfed in flames.

There are three fire pumpers and the bronto aerial appliance fighting the fire with support from the breathing apparartus van and commander.
The roof at the rear of the property has collapsed but the fire is now under control.
One male has been assessed on scene by the ACT Ambulance Service and transported to The Canberra Hospital with minor burns for assessment.

The fire is now extinguished with one fire pumper and the bronto released from the scene.
Remaining crews are now undertaking ventilation and salvage operations.
Two rooms of the large two level property have been extensively damaged by fire while the remainder has been affected by smoke and water.
The cause of the fire will be investigated.

ACT Fire & rescue has now departed the scene.
Cause of fire deemed accidental.
ACT Fire & Rescue wish to remind ACT residents to keep flammable items well away from heating appliances and to regularly maintain working smoke alarms. If residents do not have a smoke alarm installed, ACT Fire & Rescue suggest to seek further advice from their local fire station.
