d-eye came across this in a Belconnen car park.

Looks like someone got gearboxed…who did they offend and how?
Haha, that story has no boundaries. Awesome!
Heh, indeed – small world. Wayne moved to Canberra in disgrace and is now operating out of a Belconnen carpark?

Classic gearboxing.
Well, after googling it, I am just baffled. What is the point of leaving a gearbox on someone’s doorstep? It’s not difficult to dispose of. Oh well learn something every day.
Maybe it’s the white commodore set’s equivalent of a horse’s head in the bed?
That’s what I was thinking, like the bogan equivalent of when the Mafia send each other fish through the post.

I think that someone should tell Andrew Barr as this directly affects trannies.

Well played, sir. Well played indeed. I hereby nominate thee for comment of the year.
It took me a while to get the joke, but now that I understand:

If you’re implying that someone actually went to someone’s car in a public carpark and removed the gearbox in situ, I call BS. it takes at least 40 mins to remove a gearbox from a modern car. 20 from an old one, depending on how quickly access is gained to the car.
Google the term “gearboxing”
Oh no! The UFOs have given up mutilating cows and have now moved on to vehicles. We can expect to see people finding parts of there cars missing or just random parts of a car without any footprints to indicate who did it. I hear that someone down the street came out in the morning to find his car mysteriously drained of all fluids!
It is UFOs, I tell ya!

We dont bother throwing sneakers over phone lines in Belco, this is how we roll instead. Like sneakers telling you a dealer lives near the area, this is a gang sign that tells us that there is a mechanic nearby.
