ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a collision on the Monaro Highway yesterday afternoon (Monday, July 23).
Around 2.35pm the driver of a silver Nissan Pulser entered the north bound lanes of the Monaro Highway, crossed the median strip and the three south bound lanes. The car collided with a concrete shoulder barrier before coming to rest against the bushes in the median strip.
A 55-year-old man, who was the only occupant of the car, was taken to Canberra Hospital with serious injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
Police would like to speak to any witnesses who saw the car prior to the collision or witnessed the collision itself.
Anyone who can assist police with their investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
