I just read a report on News that said that there was one last night at 830pm.
Anyone know more?

Yeah, because if he was cleaning his rifle, he would have taken the silencer off first…
Am aware the rebels clubhouse is on the same street, not much said in the press since, makes you think….

From the impression that I get from the media reports the guy has taken himself to hospital with the gunshot wounds and they’ve called the police.
I live somewhere in the area of where this has been reported to have said to have occured. I didn’t hear any loud gunshotlike sounds last night not even any of the usual fireworks explosions and there wasn’t any commotion of police/ambulances rushing to the scene. His story stinks, it wouldn’t surpise me if a different story comes out later.
Damn straight. Someone didn’t pay their drug debt to the Rebels. Lock it in Eddie.

I live somewhere in the same territory in which the area that this reportedly happened, but, according to the likes of VG and Danman, it is none of our business.
Just people going about their own business apparently, so move along please, nothing to see here!

The Riot Act better then the general public in yet another field! We can add gangland intimidation to bitching and time-wasting on the interwebs…
I see The Riot-ACT could produce better gangsters than what they got down in Melbourne.

jesus, What is Canberra becoming… bloody America???
Everyone wants to be Gangsters.
2 out of twenty with any sort of automatic weapon firing on automatic is probably generous, things are useless firing on auto. Double taps are definately the way to go – then repeat until reload is required.
Melbourne gangland wars come to Canberra yo!
and you would have heard more about “man cut down by automatic gunfire” instead of shot twice in the legs.
p1, i did consider that, but then thought that “automatic weapon” would have featured in the headline somewhere.
there aren’t that many people who could hit someone in the legs (twice) from a moving vehicle with a rifle or handgun.
That is assuming that only two shots were fired. I have fired a magazine from a full auto rifle, and at close range I reckon I could get two rounds on target out of thirty….
I could guess that it was probably a shotgun – there aren’t that many people who could hit someone in the legs (twice) from a moving vehicle with a rifle or handgun.
I’m making the assumption the vehicle was still moving of course – otherwise I’d guess it would be a “drive up” shooting, rather than “drive by”. 😛
