ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in O’Connor last night (Sunday, September 2).
Around 10.30pm police were called to Capital Chemist in Sargood Street after a man entered the store and threatened staff with a blood filled syringe, demanding prescription medication.
Staff members complied with his demands and the man left the store.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 173cm (5’8”) tall, slim build with brown hair. He was wearing sunglasses, a red beanie, a black jacket and blue denim jeans.
Acting North District Superintendent Peter Davis said staff acted appropriately by complying with the offender’s demands.
“No amount of money or stock is worth the threat to human life,” Acting Superintendent Davis said.
